Review

Some new ads are coming out for the PlayStation vita as it launches globally February 22nd. A buddy of ours was able to do a quick unboxing of the PlayStation vita in Japan. The vita comes in at $249.99 which is around the same as a PS 3 and the games range around $30 to $50 a piece. It has a 5-inch organic light emitting diode screen while you control the action with your fingertips, along with a touch-sensitive panel on the back of the device. PS Vita games are purchased on a new game cart card, which snaps in the top of the PS Vita. Other features of the PS Vita include a powerful processor (quad-core ARM Cortex-A9), Wi-Fi connectivity (there’s a Wi-Fi + 3G version of the PS Vita in the U.S., but not in Canada), dual cameras and a battery that lasts between three and five hours for gaming, not great for a portable device, but better than the Nintendo 3DS when playing with the 3D effect enabled.
