Sprint who is getting ready for the iPhone 5 reveal has promised to buy $20 billion iPhone 5′s over the next four years. Remember we told you in August Sprint will be offering unlimted data plans with their iPhone 5s http://www.besttechnology.org/2011/08/27/sprint-selling-iphone-5-in-october unlike other carriers. Sprint was never able to offer the iPhone 4 so this is a chance to get back at AT&T and Verizon Wireless with the iPhone 5. While the iPhone would stabilize its customer base and bring in higher-revenue customers willing to sign long-term contracts, it would also lay a considerable financial blow to the company in the near term. Sprint is expected to pay a $500 subsidy per phone. We saw Sprint cutting back on its Mobile Hot spot already http://www.besttechnology.org/2011/09/21/sprint-cutting-mobile-hotspot-to-5gb/.

I think they are overestimating customers based the unlimited plan.
