While Microsoft had their builders conference yesterday Intel was getting ready for their Intel Developers Conference for today. Well atleast thats what they were telling the Google employees attending. You see Intel reveled its first Android tablet running on a Medfield Atom Chip. The Medfield Atom Chip is one of Intels most powerful chips for tablets and smartphones. Its has a single core processor not a more power draining dual core chip. It will be available in devices during the January/March area of 2012. What Intel may have not told Google and they missed yesterday was the fact that the Windows 8 builders conference did show Intels tablet also running on Windows 8!

Look at the very top tablet in the picture below: Remember it may have less rounded side corners but same chip running.

I will be waiting for single core chip for sure. That is a huge difference and Intel is biggest chip maker in the world so it only makes sense.
